Second course of penicillin just plateaued, it was pretty liveable, but not getting better.  When they ran out, after a couple of days, the disgusting taste came back and the quantity increased, along with generally feeling "a bit peaky".  So switched to a different antibiotic where I have to take with food and avoid booze - another five day course.  Let's see how I go - call about surgery on Monday, so into the den I go...
