Sad news about Chas and esophagus cancer, good news is they say they have caught it early.

I remember them in 2005 they were so much fun, I hope they play again

A right class act!

Caught them twice in a local pub about a decade ago. For a fiver a ticket each time ffs. The last time they played near here they wanted over thirty quid.

They could drink like nobodies business. Like "how can you still play" quantities.

Pretty much nothing but top twenty hits all night.

10/10 would see again.

they played in the acustic tent in 05 in my mind isn't playing tricks on me . They were awesome so much fun. It was packed out

'twas indeed the Acoustic. One of those special gigs where somehow there was magic in the room. When Dave retired in 2009, Chas was asked on The Today Programme which was their best gig of their career. The answer - Glastonbury 2005.

Someone I know passed away on sunday from stomach Cancer. Lovely girl, only 36 years old, she had a ticket for this years festival. She wanted to go to one more glastonbury.

So sad.

She had a 5 year old boy.

Hopefully Chas makes a full recovery. Ive seen chas and dave once... a great load of fun.

They played The Park in 07. Weather was heinous but they rose above it!

Good fun both times I saw them at Bestival too.

That 05 gig was one of the greats. The atmosphere in that tent was amazing! There's a vid somewhere on YouTube of Ain't No Pleasing You - will try and find it later

let's hope he makes a full recovery- would love to see them back one day

it was an amazing gig, so packed. I remember getting there early and some London Girl group were playing , there was only about 15 people in the tent. we sat at the back drinking cider and before wee knew it the tent was rammed. The girls joked it was the most people they have ever played for , and for that they thanked Chas and Dave. When they came on it went nuts. Great day
