So I noticed that Resurrection fest and Trees are the same weekend, they share a few bands (one band) already does anyone think there are any other bands who could be at trees that are on the resurrection lineup?

I think the bronx might get added off that lineup but I’m not sure about any others

Out of those I reckon they'd consider The Bronx, Stick To Your Guns, Stray From The Path, Cancer Bats, God is an Astronaut and Rolo Tomassi though I only think Rolo Tomassi and The Bronx are likely. Would love Turnstile but they're an exclusive at Outbreak so they can be ruled out.

They'd probably be the heaviest band to ever play trees, but I'd love to see Thy Art is Murder.

I reckon that's pretty unlikely

20 acts even if it doesn't include third headliner will be good anyway. Hopefully some higher up main bands or lower stage headliners included. Marmozets would be a great addition for me.

i second that. Not reliable at all but i was in their IG live on their album release night and i asked if they are playing 2000 trees and they said they arent. Obviously that could have been a lie or not booked at that point but thats what they said.

Given that clue and the timing of the announcement I'm 99% sure it's Frightened Rabbit and that make me very happy. They were great last week so will be looking forward to seeing them again

Also shame about Marmozets, I thought they were nailed on but I gave up on them when they announced that quite big London show in October. Guess they'd rather do their own thing

Frightened rabbit would be pretty cool, not a huge fan but they’re a nice contrast to ATDI and Enter Shikari. Saying that ATDI have grown on me a lot over the last couple months so it might end up a perfect trio for me.

If we get Frightened Rabbit do you reckon it will be the anniversary shows? I really enjoy later Frightened Rabbit but adore The Midnight Organ Fight. Loved seeing them live on that tour supporting Biffy.

Yeah Frightened Rabbit aren't headlining and not really surprised when I think about it. The fest has grown since 2014 (like Deaf Havana didn't headline last year despite headlining it in 2015) though it makes me wonder why they are holding back the final headliner. The only things I can of is that they are waiting for a tour to finish though I would have thought no one touring now or about to tour would be suitable or they've got other festival commitments so can't be announced until later, which would make me think its Neck Deep.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
