Quark
Probably blindingly obvious, but can someone tell me which stage is just opposite the Small World Stage in Green Futures?
GlastoEls
Mandala?
incident
Or Lizard. If you're looking out from Small World, Mandala is across and a bit to the left, Lizard is across and a bit to the right.
Quark
Aha, it was to the right so that'll be Lizard. Thanks both. There was an odd band in there on Wednesday afternoon while Rodney Branningan was on in the Small World, been trying to figure out who they were but not on Clashfinder! Never mind. slash's hat
Did they do a song about lidl? If so think they were voodoo jukebox.
Quark
No, they had a guy playing the lap slide guitar very well, a drummer and a bass / harmonica player. Toward the end of their set an old boy came out of the audience and got himself on stage with his harmonica to join them and was bloody good with it too! GlastoEls
I saw a good set in the Mandala by Thomas Crimble, ex Hawkwind and of course key in the festival organisation until about 1998/9 if memory serves, right from the early days. The brilliance of wandering around.
pecks
John Fairhurst maybe?
Quark
Don't think it was John Fairhurst. Hmm. Maybe I imagined the whole thing!
pecks
John Langan band? Or someone else called John maybe?
Quark
John Langan band? Or someone else called John maybe? Got an answer from Lizard Stage's facebook page It was a blues session hosted by Fred Stitz on the slide dobro, with Joe Strouzer on harmonica, Pavlos Mavromatakis on bass and Ayoze Lopez on drums. So there you are. Bloody good it was too!
Nuthugger
Green Futures was my favourite area this year!

So there you are. Bloody good it was too! Sounds good to me! I really wanted to catch Pavlos Mavromatakis on the Sunday, but <I'm not sure, it just didn't happen>
tillyandthewall
Thought I'd put another stage name query in here. What was the name of a stage in the SE corner that was an ampitheatre shape, with raised area around the main floor. May have had a clear roof. tillyandthewall
Could well have been, though I thought I was in Shangri-La though. My own fault for being stupidly out of it, I guess.
