Are those folding sack trucks any good?

I've got the unenviable combo of achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and bursitis in one foot and walking with any extra weight is pretty damn painful. Am wondering if this might help me out with the worst of it for getting my stuff from the car to a pitch. Does anyone have one and are they any good? Will it actually take a decent amount of weight? Are they completely useless if the ground is anything less than completely solid?

The paths are quite "rocky" in places. not that noticeable when you walk on them, but they will chew solid wheels to pieces!

you need something with pneumatic tyres, not hard plastic tyres

I took something like what the OP was looking at last year, by the time I got from Car Park 48 to South Park 2 (first run) the trolley had completely buckled. It was awful. We've decided to go for a garden trolley this year with the 4 wheels and large cage. We're doing two trips on the Wednesday and then again after picking up friends on the Thursday so it seems justified. This is the one we are getting:

That looks amazing, but surely that takes up the space of half a car???

Alas I've got 4 people in a medium sized car so space is at a premium.

I saw people with it last year and was instantly jealous so decided to try work out a way to get it this time round, we (4 of us) are in an Insignia which is a fairly large car fortunately but we are doing a trial pack this weekend to check how we are for space. We were going to take a trailer but we have opted for a roof rack instead as we are driving from Scotland and don't fancy taking a trailer all that way. It's big but knowing we will be taking it is a massive relief compared to last year.

We are only taking what booze we need though for the Wednesday night in the car for the 4 of us as we are picking up more people on the Thursday morning from Bristol airport. We will do our big booze run so space might not be too bad on the drive down. Tents, bags and a few cans/bottles.

i used one of those for the last 2 years but it got stolen last year and it worked fine with 4 crates a tent but much more then that and its a risk. Iv'e gone all out this year and got a strong sturdy model with proper wheels

I bought one from the efests camping shop two years ago and it seems to be going ok. Although, I have seen bits of disintegrated trolley that looked the same as mine in the queue.

Those aren't the best.... I have one similar!

I will still be taking mine though, only use it for the water refills for the motorhome.

Getting one of those foldable ones was the worst thing I've ever done for Glastonbury! Lasted 2 mins before the wheels buckled and ended up dragging it across site sweating and nearly dying!

We have had this for years and it's being brilliant. Doesn't take up too much space because the flap folds and the handle also extends for when not being used.

E-fests one is great- put it in lock up during festival to avoid it getting nicked tho. And do a test pack up before you go!

Could folk be more specific about which trolley they had which worked/didn't - just saying "the one from the efests shop" is confusing as they sell several.

I have used a granny trolley before and that worked well BUT I only used it from the coach entrance to Bushy Ground, anything more then that and I'm sure the wheels would have come off.
