I can't believe after the last few weeks that I'm actually going. Just hope they aren't too cruel to me shift wise.

I'm with FeStaff and it says I have to "reside within the staff campsite"...I think it's to prevent you from just getting fucked up with your friends and going awol

Agh that's annoying

I know right but at least you can kick it with your homies all day and evening then go back to a camp site that's not to busy, has nicer toilets and I think most have electricity and showers.

Just get your mates to get a throw up tent near them, no-one is going to come looking for you. I am sure as long as you turn up for your shifts no-one will mind

Do u have to camp in steward field tho? I wanna camp with friends not on my own lol

Officially - yes. You'll certainly need to spend the first (Tuesday) night there.

Realistically - there's no way of enforcing it or them knowing once gates have opened.

However - you'll probably find that there's benefits to staying in the Oxfam field (despite its remote location) - showers, the crew catering is pretty good and you get 3 free meals, and as people often need to sleep during the day after a night shift it tends to be quieter.

This is on their website.....Hot Showers!!!

Do you provide tents ?

No, you have to bring your own tent, and all the other camping equipment you will need, including a mug, plate, knife and fork etc. as these will not be provided. But there are showers!

If I don't camp in the Oxfam camping area can I still use the facilities there ?

You should not camp anywhere but the Oxfam camping area. We take great efforts to keep the Oxfield as secure and comfortable as possible and we would encourage you to use the field provided.

In addition to this, many festivals do not have space in public camping for crew and staff, so we are specifically told that we are not allowed to camp in the public campsite.

You will not be allowed to bring your friends into our campsite space unless they are working at that festival for Oxfam .If there is a specific reason why you need a member of the public to be with you, then please email and we will look at your request on a case by case basis.

Congrats!! I've seen many a thread from you over the past week so I'm glad it paid off :) Hopefully we'll start to see some more happy people drip feed through on this thread in the next few hours.

This is great news! Is it as simple as signing up on their website?

And for those working the night shifts these tents are amazing..... Efest camping shop don't sell these or I'd use their link

jet black inside and cooler .... Perfect if you need to sleep during the day when it's hot and sunny
