You would have thought with the hammering the system gets they would be working to get every last bit of efficiency out of the code, not leaving text from 2013 in there commented out. With all the hits that page gets those 6 lines of code are probably responsible for gigs of wasted bandwidth.

Just think, that code could be responsible for you not having a ticket...

So what's everyone thinking at the moment after the madness today? Will we get a sale at 4? 5? This evening? Tomorrow? Friday?

I haven't a clue but my head hurts. If it isn't tomorrow afternoon or Friday afternoon then it's 100% monday. If it isn't monday I think I may just cry.

that particular bit of code is 370b according to http://bytesizematters.com/

So we'll multiple by that by 1million people (assuming everyone who was registered around2015 tried) and that's 370MB per year, assuming everyone only tries once.

Let's assume that people hammer the F5 twenty times before giving up (waaaaaay conservative) and that's 7.4GB. Not counting resale, secret resale, or sad cases like myself just checking the code to look for things.

7.4Gb every time they sell tickets, and that's still conservative. Not counting web searches and other stuff that may read the page as well.

Also, we have to think how many people are looking at this at college/school? So there would be a drop off of people after 3pm, then another drop off around 5/6pm when people start leaving the office.

I'll drop off in 8 minutes when I leave work. Luckily it only takes me 5 minutes to get home but alot can happen in 5 minutes.
