Why are they selling off IoW festival tickets cheap then? Never been, but line up looks reasonable.

Never been to another festival apart from Glastonbury, assume they'd all be a bit of a let down really compared!

They are. Been to IOW  and Reading & Leeds, they're good but they don't live up to Glastonbury

Probably because this year's combination of headliners is the most unusual and random list I think I've ever seen.

Credit cards are kosher this year right?

Only for international sales I think. Scratch that it seems you can use a credit card this according to info, visa credit and MasterCard are acceptable for U.K. Sales this year.

The headliners are for 3 completely demographics so I'm not surprised that they are struggling for weekend sales. Apparently they've cut back a load of the extra stuff so it's going to be little more than 2 stages this year. I think it might be 'doing a bestival'

I'm just trying for 2 - the husband and me. He's currently away on exercise with the army so I'm trying to get them as a surprise for him, as we both failed in the main sale and he failed in the resale (I was on a plane with no option to buy wifi or I'd have been trying too!)

Just PM'd you... in case you need a hand?  If not, just ignore it!

Ah wait, just found this...

UK buyers may use either a UK registered debit card or UK registered credit card. International buyers must use a credit card (with a non-UK billing address).

Yeah I just check the payment info, seems you can use a cc in the U.K. This year.

I've always just thought it would be a bugger to get to! Although compared to the 8 hours in queues for Glastonbury, especially the fire year, maybe not!

What year was that? seems to have passed me by.

I went last year and it was the least 'festival feeling' festival I've been to (and I went to OnBlackheath - AKA John Lewis Fest), it was full of day trippers and non-festival goers and just a horrible vibe in general. I'd only go if it was free and even then I'd be annoyed I had to pay for the ferry trip.

was that the fire beyond/around east campervans (was it a pile of tyres?), i remember seeing huge plumes of thick black smoke - possibly in 2005?

@Breeze - Erm... first one I did, so would have been 2009? We were newbies and didn't understand so came thursday, there was a fire nearby and they shut all the roads around Glastonbury, stationary about 2 miles away for 6 hours!

Then had to find a camping spot, in the dark, whilst it poured with rain... We were tempted to go home... Glad we didn't. This is the first year I've had to try the secret resale since, always been lucky

I wish I could help someone but I've left my pesky credit card at home and haven't saved my card details on my PC. I feel a bit wasted sitting at my pc all afternoon watching people suffer.
