Thanks.

Just saw its about 60 which isn't horrific. Who the hell is Ryan Adams? Why have i no idea who he is?

Pretty sure tickets should be ok to grab closer to the time so Noel Gallagher, The Hives, The Who, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr and The Kaiser Chiefs will be my Glastonbury back up plan

Hah. Ryan adams has like 20 albums out. Also absolutely fantastic

Who we thinking for the Sunday?

Just been listening to some of his stuff, how on earth have I missed it all!

Paul McCartney my guess for Sunday

If only BST last year was the same :(

Great set of bands for a back up plan that 'ey :) Of those I can only see Weller and Noel (Not headlining though) doing Glasto

Who we thinking for the Sunday?

The event has often shared a headliner with Glasto, but their Wembley shows make Foos/AC/DC less likley in my opinion. Macca/Muse/Fleetwood Mac may all be possibilities

Are all of the acts announced so far on the saturday? Don't fancy buying a ticket and finding out some are on the sunday.

There has only been 1 day announced. It would appear that it's only a 1 day event this year. I have tweeted them but no answer and it is getting fairly late to announce.

How late was the Aerosmith announcement last year? maybe they have a Download headliner? Kiss most likely I'd guess.

March 4th. I think they had to get some deals going on Aerosmith though and KISS's track record for festivals is poor as it is. It would do terribly.

I don't think they'll announce another one, unless maybe the remaining Glastonbury headliner will double it with this or something.

Indeed it would, Copping is talking bollocks when he talks about KISS still being this high profile headliner etc. I know a lot of people who go to gigs/festivals etc and none of them have mentioning that they can't wait to see KISS at Download, the majority would rather watch painful Shikari.

I'm surprised after Sonisphere that he booked them, especially along side the others. Not a great year for years for them but I do understand Download's limited selection.

They're leaving it quite late to announce things. Still not sure if there is enough for me to commit yet.

Very late.

I have booked as I'm not off to Glasto this yr so had a bit of money floating around. Happy with obv NGHFB and The Hives + Modest Mouse. Anything else is a bonus I suppose

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
