It's finally starting to sink in that I actually have a ticket to Glastonbury 2015, and so does my girlfriend!

Add to that... I've finally been put on medication that works for me, I found out this morning that there are still tickets left for Jungle's gig in Portsmouth next year so I got tickets, and I've just this minute finally paid off an overdraft that's been in collections for two years, meaning I can save cider money for the greatest weekend of the year.

I'm a properly happy bunny... anyone else having a good day?

Yay positivity! Good luck in your interviews Tom... what are they for?

And EWF, don't get so drunk you can't give your wife a birthday treat later! ;)

I will try my hardiest ! lol I've also got time of work to work at Glastonbury again next year Edited by Earthwindandfire2205

Ive been rejected by McDonalds again. Not even an interview. Its getting silly now.

Still no Glastonbury ticket, either.

Don't worry too much. McDonald's reject a higher percentage of applicants than Harry, it's insane how many people go for those jobs. They almost certainly think you're too good... They want people to stick around.

Disregard that if you're going for a big job... but still don't worry! Times are hard, but you'll get there in the end.

La Paz initially. Travelling from Bolivia to Rio de Janerio - via Salar de Uyuni, Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls.

It's a pretty packed itinerary - gonna neeed a holiday when I get back....

Would say I'm jealous but no time for those emotions today... I'm happy that someone who's given me a few good tips on music I wouldn't otherwise have listened to is gonna have a brilliant adventure! Enjoy :)

Good news Dave :-)

Today is a good day because it is not yesterday.

Hopefully see you at GF next year at one of the many meets!

Thanks Matt! Looking forward to seeing you again. In a non-weird way I just had a vision of stroking your shiny bald head (not that one, you filthy minded man).

I promise I won't get too high this time! ;)

No tickets for me (keeping positive for April) but it's nearly the weekend & my shoes have nearly dried out after wading through a foot of water last night in the work car park, & I've just been told about my pay rise for next year, so all in all it's a good day here too!

Enjoy your holiday CG - my dream itinerary!

Fantastic enjoy!

I did Buenos Aires and Iguazu a few years ago at this time of the year to. Great time to go. Spring. Can still get hot in Buenos Aires.

Iguazu will blow your mind. Are you doing both sides?

Indeed. I've actually been to BAs / Iguazu / Rio before as a younger man - I've only ever been on two 'lads' holidays in my time and, oddly, they were both to relatively niche parts of South America.

Going with Mrs CG this time around so that she can see it all and it's going to be a bit more civilised. Will do a few cultural bits and bobs that I've missed out on - gonna check out the samba clubs of Lapa rather than any old shoddy disco on the Copacabana, that type of thing.

The salt flats are the big thing for me - not been to that bit of Bolivia / Chile before. Hoping to nip over into Paraguay for the afternoon as well.

Read "Marching Powder" give you a great insight into La Paz.

I've not read it, but I know the story. Though I think San Pedro has now stopped doing the touristy tours.

I was in La Paz a few years back, but we went up slowly from sea level. This time we're flying in to El Alto so the only thing entering my system will be some Diamox.

Cheers folks. Definitely setting aside some time for record shopping when I get to Brazil...on a massive sixties Bossa Nova trip at the minute.

I'm with you there - just imagine a Gilberto or two bowling up to West Holts next June....:)
