the wonderwhy
Hang on wait, what the hell is this Alex Ferguson show?
Yellow_Fellow
Does it really matter who did the interviewYes because NME are a shitty secondary source
#FreeComTruise
Unless they missed out some key information, such as the name of this secret act, then I doubt it's going to be a revealing listen
mrtourette
Yes because NME are a shitty secondary source But given that the thread is based on the NME article it still seems relevant to discuss that. Unless they missed out some key information, such as the name of this secret act, then I doubt it's going to be a revealing listen It could quite easily be NME misreporting, it has happened once or twice before. Perhaps Yellow can let us know the wording in the original interview as it could have been clearer or more specific.
#FreeComTruise
Seen some 'spotted: Leeds fest' twitter tweet "Kasabian doing the secret set it looks like then" and now everyone's going off their nut saying it's Kasabian
mattgimmeshelter
Kasabian would probably be better than whoever it actually is. So why not let them get their hopes up.

Gucci Piggy
It's Olivier Giroud.
MONTHEBIFF2013
Could be Rise Against (have a new album out) or even Black Stone Cherry doing their second 'secret set' of the year.
Gucci Piggy
Black Stone Cherry would get a crowd of -3 at this R&L.

GodlikeYeezus
I thought about Rise Against earlier and if i'm right in saying they have played arena's before? There's a good chance it could be someone underwhelming like them
dentalplan
If you are underwhelmed by an arena sized act when the only tidbit offered was 'an arena sized act' then you've only yourself to blame. I think Rise Against's latest tour drops by Manchester Apollo so I don't believe they have.
GodlikeYeezus
So if im putting a lot of effort in to find the stage and time the 'secret act' will be playing and i sit there with my expectations high. Am i not allowed to be underwhelmed if Rise Against walk out? I believe i am

Am i not allowed to be underwhelmed if Rise Against walk out? I believe i am Well yeah you probably are because Rise Against aren't an 'arena sized band' but I don't know why your expectations would be 'high' or more importantly that you'd personally be rewarded for finding out where the secret act is. mattgimmeshelter
Do you reckon when the set times are released this will become obvious as to when?
dentalplan
Yes. If there's a gap, then it'll be them. If there's no gap then it'll be before a stage opens.
mattgimmeshelter
Do you think they'd do that again though? Because Green Day looked pretty hectic when they had to close the arena and stuff.
