Bit of advice if any of you like the party fags or disco biscuits , get in the fest first then go back to your car later !

They are a bit more relaxed if you have your band on plus you can see if dogs are on the gate !

PS, for dogs, a general tip is make sure you have some tea & coffee making kit in your rucksack.

Buy a tin of Kenco part-ground instant coffee. Remove coffee. Tape bag of party fags etc. to inside bottom of tin. Refill with coffee. Ensure some half-open (supermarket!) biscuits in your tea and coffee kit just to make the hounds hungry.

If you can vac-seal stinky bud in mylar so much the better. It's sold that way on the darkweb for that matter, so you can buy it stinkproofed.

Wee question (well, questions...): has anyone ever been caught by the dog? What happens if you do? What kind of search do they carry out?

Then ejected , if you get caught with what they see as for personal use 80 quid on the spot and a caution and im not 100% but i think you get refused entry, i have seen young kids crying taken away by the coppers i didnt see how much they had but it was security that found stuff in their bag and called the police .

 

Ive also seen the police pull cars over on the way to festival and search the car ! We live in a rural place and its a good way to boost crime figures when the festival is on !!!!

Suppose the follow up question then, is...how thorough are bag searches if the dog happens to stop you?! I'm merely curious as this won't, of course, affect me.

it could have been. or it could have just been distracted. sniffer dogs are hard to keep focused and large crowds can distract them beyond what they are supposed to be doing.

the presence of a dog on the gates is a deterrent, and will help police find people looking suspicious or trying to go around the dog or go past it quickly, who will most likely get a search but in my opinion anyone who wants to get something they want for themselves should be able to stash it somewhere well enough so it will not be found, and the sort of search they do is the type that will uncover "dealer quantities"

 

thing is though, just getting it in isn't  the hard part,  theres undercover police everywhere on the lookout for drug users!
