Hüsker Dü...?

Those were the days!

Nice selection there, cokes. You may be able to join my t-shirt collective. I will need a bit of a look over, but signs are positive...

Ben

Cool, a collective does sound good would we have a leader?

I will also be wearing a dodgy suit for my birthday on the Friday and a ready steady cook apron+Ainsley Harriot mask on the Thursday.

It is vertically damp this morning but do not fear folks. In all seriousness the ground needed it. Was becoming a real dust bowl down there. However this will make putting your tent pegs in much easier.

And this afternoon the sun will be out again drying the grass to give you all a lush green welcoming carpet

Of course.

The rule for wearing t-shirts is ...just don't wear the band's t-shirt that you are seeing at the time. That's not cool.

I think we're safe with GD and JT!

This 100%! I never understand why people do that!

I had a chat with Pete Trewavas a few years ago. He commented about people who shout for Grendel at gigs. "I mean, have you heard Grendel? It's shit!"

His words, not mine!

Alright, maybe Grendel wasn't the best example! It is ever so slightly overblown and silly :) But the Fish years are definitely my favourite.

Marillion for me evokes memories of my first year at uni in Hull, sharing a room and trading songs on tape players (yeah, that long ago). Me with Bob Dylan (he was on a post-grad diploma), folk, rock and roll, Northern Soul and my mate with Marillion and Jethro Tull.

Saw Fish and Marillion at Reading festival in 1983 (of course I was just a twinkle in my mothers eye!!!) and he was outstanding. Really got the crowd going which is more than I can say for Black Sabbath that followed them. Half the field left for the campsite when they played.
