Campervan/Carparks

After getting tickets in the resale but not managing to get a campervan ticket could my friend still take his campervan and park it in the normal carparks? Obviously not to sleep in it but we could fit a lot more stuff in it than in the car. Or are they not allowed in case people do try and sneakily kip in them?

Yep, you won't stand a chance of being allowed to take a campervan into the car parks. Without a campervan pass (join the list and see if one comes available), you'd need to look for an offsite facility, of which there are quite a few, trouble is that they generally don't have websites so you find them when you;re down or from people who have stayed at them before.

Good luck with getting a pass though.

I'll stand corrected then if you people have done or seen this before. I do remember about 10 years ago being stuck behind a campervan trying to get into the car parks and they were turned around. But you know what it's like, you never notice such things unless you're purposely looking for them, which i haven't. And i've been going to the campervan fields for about 7-8 years now.

I'm not going to spend ages analysing that photo, but from what i can see it shows lots of vans but no camper vans, which is what we were talking about. I think we all know vans are allowed.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
