While I have absolutely awesome taste, I do love me a bit of power metal, despite how cheesy it is.

About 5 years ago I remember getting judged for my love of early 80s synthpop, but it's become credible again (and I put that entirely down to my lack of shame about it)

There's a few of the classic rock bands that are a bit cheesy that I still like (T.Rex, Aerosmith), and then there's other older bands that turned to absolute dirge and the name is now associated with the crap rather than their great early stuff (Roxy Music, Genesis, Aerosmith).

And I've got some shitty 00's indie in my collection, but most of that I wouldn't describe as a pleasure any more.

Agreed, I'm a fan of Jake Bugg's records but saw him support The Killers at iTunes fest 2012 and thought the dullness could've been due to it being his first live streamed gig etc, and therefore gave him another chance, but he was equally as boring at Shepherd's Bush a few months later.

Jake Bugg's live performances have put me off his material they were that shit. The first time he was alright, and then the two times I saw him last year he was fucking awful. And then Shangri-La happened.

I thought they were fun, as they pretty much played a hits set with very little from Battle Born (which hadn't been released at this point), but that's as far as I'd go to be honest. Wouldn't bother seeing them at a bigger venue. Same goes for Kings Of Leon, who I saw at iTunes Fest last year.

I thought they were utter shite tbh. I'd never seen them before and while they basically played the entirety of their greatest hits, it was the most boring show I've seen from a band of their stature and size. I was pretty disappointed I'd spent £50 quid on it afterwards!

I really like Raditude by Weezer actually, that's one I forgot.

In terms of actual artists I'm sometimes inclined to listen to Escape the Fate and some dance artists like Deadmau5 and Skrillex that some people on the R&L forums seem to dislike

    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
