Pixies. Some advice please.

I'm interested in learning about The Pixies. It's the sort of music I think I should like but they seem to have passed me by so far. Now they are coming to Glasto it's a good chance to do some research.

Where do I start? Best tracks/albums? Good live? Any comments?

Thanks.

There's considerable discussion here about their best albums with no real obvious winner, just go for all of them (you've got two and a half months) or I think they've got a couple of greatest hits albums out.

Just had a quick glance at their South American setlists and they don't appear to be playing much at all from Bossanova or Tromp Le Monde, and five or six from the new album.

Oh and if you wonder who the Bass guitarist is.. that's no longer with the band... that's Kim Deal, but don't let her absence let you enjoy them less..... although it won't be the same ;)
