I don't think the placings have much to do with size at this event. It's more about arranging a sensible schedule for TV and radio. I mean, they've got Pharrell on before Jake Bugg.

Oh really? I was obviously still asleep, apologies. Agree that that's an absurd decision, although in fairness Bugg has somehow nabbed a sub slot at R&L this year so it's not the first time his booking agent has pushed him far higher on a bill than he deserves..

It also says somewhere else start Sunday with a blast or CHVRCHES.

Does this mean we could see a KOL/CHVRCHES clash both opening the weekend same time different stage :/

Just checked 1Ds website and theyre listed as playing croke park 23rd, 24th and 25th May .. is that why theyre on first? finish at like half 1 then just fly back on time?

Greg James just said on Radio 1 that Calvin Harris is playing. He was reeling off the acts playing (it sounded like it was off the top of his head) and he went "...Calvin Harris...erm...yeah...here's Pharrell!"

It might have been a genuine error but his follow up makes me think it was a slip of the tongue.

Nah, I can't see it happening. It would be amazing but Radio 1 seem to be aiming their content at the lower half of their demographic these days, many of whom I doubt would even know who Prince is.
