the point is that the people getting all giddy at the prospect of abba headlining were branding them "shite" 10 or 15 years ago, and would have laughed up a lung if someone had said they hoped they were headlining.

The same thing has happened with chic

because I existed 10 years ago, and still exist now and observed things then and observe things now.

Or are you suggesting that abba have always been a credible headliner??

I don't know where you get your indisputable information from.

that's a thought you might try applying to your own indisputable information.

You know, like the youtube video that you felt gave you much more information than the information of people who were there - so much so, you felt you had enough solid info to laugh from.

 (?)

I suggest that before you post, you hold a dispute with your own fingertips. Things will go much smoothly if you did so.

the fact that the video shows a fairly busy crowd with quite a lot of them looking fairly young wasn't the main point I was making.

and yet that the *ONLY* point you tried to make with the video.

And yet I said nothing about how many were watching or how many of those might have been younger people

The rest of the bollocks you posted I'll treat with the contempt that your additional bullshit to try and dig yourself out of the shit you dropped yourself into deserves.

I'll investigate. I've got some stuff, but I've heard some recordings that are fairly wild, which I've been trying to track down.... any ideas what I'm talking about? One of my faves is an album he did with John Coltrane... sublime

    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
    • We've reasonably predicted/wanted a bill of Blink, Avril, Good Charlotte for a while 😅    I'm surprised that Good Charlotte's UK shows in November seem to be doing well atm... obviously if they sell out those venues then they should be subheadliners right? (if they play download that is). They'd only look a strong sub if it was before Blink though I rekn.

    • Well Jason Isbell is on blistering form for this run of European gigs, wonderful night in Bristol
    • I am also interested in this. I was looking for past years, and it looks like it has a limited capacity.  I would love to see Ela Minus, but I guess I won't be able to make it in time, unfortunately.
