Muse VII? Yes I think they could as long as they're not at any other English festival but I'm not sure why anyone would be excited for it. You got the second best set (second to Showbiz in full) you could possibly get so what else do you want? Matt's show tunes?

We got the best set we could possibly get (well, the first half) but I'd buy a fucking ticket. Init.

When other Matt was going on about expanding the site (which is never going to happen) it got me thinking that they might try to keep the co-headliner thing going. Saying 'look, you're now getting four headliners over three days, which no other festival really offers' is a cheeky way of them being able to justify another price hike, and therefore is a way of increasing income without having to increase capacity or add another day (neither of which are plausible)

Just a thought.

Dunno. If they've got four headliners every year they might decide to do it.

If there's a demand for tickets then they'll raise the prices. They used inflation as a reason for a £20 a ticket increase in 09. I'm done with this fest anyway, had a good 13 year run but it's just not for me anymore.

They will keep raising prices until they have several successive years of selling badly (note, not selling out doesn't mean selling badly). They might try USING things as excuses, but they'll just be excuses.

They're already booking w*nk headliners. If they start having four every year it'll reduce their choices for following years and they'll end up even shitter.

I hope one year they have Blink, Green Day and Paramore headlining. I actually don't hope that but anyway. Actually fucking hell they have two of them this year. I'm done.

    • Presumably cash reasons.
    • It's all getting silly. Unless want to cut stuff like welfare or net zero or whatever to fund increased defence spending...they're going to have to put up taxes...(or maybe do some war bonds type thing). Just stop farting about, be straight with the public, and stick up income tax.
    • I think Chaka Khan is far far down the list. Too many bigger names lining up ahead of her.
    • 😂 Same. Lucky number 13 it will be for me.
