Some do, but some love both (like me). I think the majority of the hatred is just joking, because of the comparisons between the bands.

I never got the comparison, they don't sound alike and don't have the same talent. Only comparison you can make us that john leckie was on muses first album.

As a big fan of radiohead and used to be a big fan of muse, I would say clearly showbiz.

The Bends is ace, but far from Radiohead's best album. Showbiz is Muse's 2nd best in my opinion

I'd say they're about equal, though I probably prefer Showbiz. The fact Showbiz is one of Muse's best and The Bends is one of Radiohead's worst, though, is quite telling.

Personally speaking muse were awesome live in those early days and have steadily got worse. On the other hand radiohead live have only improved since the bends.
