They're headlining Lowlands, which takes place in the Netherlands in the same weekend as Pukkelpop, and they always share a huge load of bands (even work together on occasion to get bands with better deals). And they'd be a repeat at Werchter, which doesn't play in RW's advantage either.

Not sure about Bastille, to be honest I think a lot of the bands announced, if not all the bands announced for Sunday could all play barn or main.

For example sunday barn could be Stromae/Franz Ferdinand/MGMT/Passenger but it could easily be Stromae/Interpol/Bastille/Babyshambles etc.

Looking forward to the stage splits being released!

I think Interpol will be either 3rd down on main or sub headline in the barn.

maybe like this?

MAIN STAGE

Kings Of Leon

?? (Kasabian?)

Interpol

Franz Ferdinand

or like this?

Kings Of Leon

Interpol

Franz Ferdinand

....

it's interesting because there are three bands on sunday who have been there last year (passenger, bastille, kol). in my opinion passenger is a possible headliner of the 3rd stage. angus&julia stone and as well birdy fitting in to that schedule. bastille is live very danceable, so i think he will play before stromae on the other stage.

Don't think Interpol will be high up Main Stage, in 2007 they were 4th down on Main Stage and they were much more popular at that time.

I'm guessing Interpol will sub Barn, Franz Ferdinand will be one or two spots down from sub on Main Stage, and Bastille on the same stage one spot down FF.

In the announcement on Friday it said that there would be more next week, so, what bands do you guys think we'll get this week? We are still missing 2-3 "big" names on Sunday and 4-5 on Friday. Me personally I'm hoping for more rock&roll, the lineup is way to pop-ish for my taste.

Bad Religion?

The Prodigy?

The Offspring?

Rodrygo y Gabriela?

Iron Maiden?

Steel Panther?

Linkin Park?

Mackelmore?

Fall Out Boy

Nine Inch Nails?

Queens of the Stone Age?

More English pop-crap?

In agreement that Interpol will not be that high up on the main stage and can also see Bastille on the main as there popularity has soared in resent months, I assume this is the same in Belgium as they seem to get played a lot on the main Belgian radio station.

I can see that we'll get more names this week and I think we'll get another 6 more and potentially the stage splits, depends how they're doing it this year.

Not sure who to expect this week but in the coming announcements the bands I expect to see are White Lies, Limp Bizkit, Wapaint, Frank Turner, Florence & The Machine, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Disclosure, Kavinsky and Kasabian.

Fingers crossed and hopeful for Weezer, Jack White, Nine Inch Nails. None of these will happen but just my wishes!

To everyone saying Friday is a weak day, I think it looks weak because not many main stage acts have been announced. I'd say apart from Arctic Monkeys and probably Major Lazor playing after them the rest will be in Klub C/Barn, unless someone like The Stypes are early main, so many big acts still left to be announced for this day and also a Sub for sunday too.

@Grrrrrinyer Can see the Prodigy showing up as they are around that weekend. Either be Sunday before KOL or after Pearl Jam so not sure how likely. Can also see Wolfmother turning up but don't think the rest are likely at all.

@Daniel could see all those names being there.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
