Morning all. Was trying to buy combi ticket last night with Irish credit card and keep getting denied. Tried with my girlfriends Estonian one too and still no joy. Anyone else have similar issues? Anywhere I can ring up and buy over the phone?

I'm heading to Rock Werchter this year and it will be the first festival that I will attend.

I was supposed to go there with my roomie but he had to back out because he will be in Turkey around that time.

Any suggestions to me going there alone? Will it be lonely or will it still be worth it?

(I'm going to Rock Werchter for the music but I would really want a good experience all-around).

Interpol or Franz Ferdinand is not the subheadliner of Sunday. If you check the Sunday line-up at website, you can see they're standing under Stromae. I bet Kasabian will fit that slot very nicely. And I don't agree that Sunday is the weakest link right now. Interpol/Franz Ferdinand/MGMT/Foals/Babyshambles is enough to fill up the day. If you add Kasabian under Kings of Leon, it will be heavenly.

Currently Friday is very weak right now. George Ezra/The 1975/Foster The People/Arctic Monkeys is my plan schedule now but a lot of name has to be added. Ellie Goulding-Jack Johnson-Major Lazer is not desirable enough. Beck addition to the barn and Deftones+The National for the main stage would fit perfectly.

Thursday and Saturday are already formed very nicely. A couple of fancy names would be icing on the cake.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
