Neil Young won't be at RW as he has an Belgian exclusive show at the Lokerse Feesten in August....that PJ/NY dream died pretty quickly!

It is interesting because Muse is taking their time announcing their (short) European tour (playing a gig in Bremen, but yet denied by Muse). However, this is not relevant because Muse is waaaaaaaaaay to big to co-headline the sunday.

I think the only like really big band having a small chance of being on the line-up after Kings of Leon are the Peppers, though very very unlikely (would fit well though, RHCP & KoL)

I think we can expect the Prodigy, Florence + The Machine and Kasabian.

seems like the Rollings Stones thing at Pinkpop is almost done... doesn´t this make RW lose the eternal battle with Pinkpop? An in it's 40 anniversary!!!

They have sold 110.000 of the 140.000 tickets so far, which is waaaaaaay faster than ever. From a commercial point of view, there's no need of something unexpectable.

True, but what about next year? Ef PinkPop has significantly stronger lineup than RW now, people will look to PinkPop instead of Rock Werchter and eventually it'll be harder for RW to sell their tickets....plush it's a matter of pride, don't let somebody make you look average on your 40th anniversary!

But where do you have your info about 110k/140k ticket sale??

Are you for real?? PinkPop has already signed Metallica(biggest metal band of all time), Avenged Sevenfold(biggest newcomers in metal) and Arcade Fire....and now they are getting The Rolling Stones. I don't care how their lineup has been in the past(I looked and it's not as bad as you make it sound), it's the present I care about and PinkPop is making RW look very average.

...and of course it's all just bad luck for RW, when you get crushed like that it's only because of bad luck...doooooo
