Pre Glasto gigs

[Midnight Man]

My first time was at a festival (Electric Picnic last year) and she blew me away. Last night exceeded that though! I really think that might be the best gig I've ever seen.

I've heard amazing things about Swans. Really should investigate.

What I love the most about her is she seems pretty real and genuine and she just puts it all out there and doesn't give a fuck. So inspiring.

It is high praise. I'm intrigued to see what Mr Cave pulls out of the bag and if he can top that. Thing is though Glasto might not be the occasion. I might have to wait til October to push Patti off her perch. Not that I want to.

Agreed about Nick Cave - also looking forward to October. Don't want to be hearing,

Had a great week of gigs: Quadrophenia, Shakey and now rounding it all off tonight with The Boss. Born To Run in full I'm hoping for.

Saw The Who last week performing Quadrophenia then The Stone Roses on Saturday. Both absolutely amazing got me right in the mood for Glasto!

bitterly regretting not getting tickets for the who quadrophenia thing. Sadly money restrictions didnt allow it

Shakey last week at the end of the gig to one of the worst and least appreciative crowd's I've ever stood amongst:

"Youre the best god-damn rock n' roll audience we've ever played to."

I wasnt the only one who guffawed with delight. Quality.

Mastodon last week also ace.

Just got back from Jagwar Ma, they're gonna be a highlight. Especially in the midnight-onwards slot, I couldn't stop dancing. Brilliant.

Got an email today, reminding me about 'Upcoming Events', and realised I'm going to see Random Hand in liverpool tomorrow, completely forgot"! My bad.

Off to see The Killers, Gaslight Anthem and James tomorrow, which should set me up for next week nicely
