You are also insulting people who are giving you advice.

There are a lot of people who can't go this year, I understand this is your last resort, but if you were that desperate to go you would go to any lengths, including working for a charity (and turning up for the shifts). It's a small price to pay to attend the festival, and you are helping people out at the same time.

Although there have been some dubious methods overall here I enjoyed russycarps being made to look a hypocritical tit with no principles.

Obviously his reposte to this is that I'm a racist but i can't imagine he can find anything to support this allegation other than a libertines quote that will be mediated in the most spectacular of scouse ways.

Thanks in advance

Working for a charity doesn't mean you have to miss anything - my girlfriend is working for Oxfam this year - getting there the Saturday before the festival ; working 4 or 5 days helping with setup - she gets more or less the entire festival to herself and is helping with clearup the Monday after the festival.

You don't have to miss anything - just give a few days work to a charity. If you want it as badly as you seem to, it's a good route to consider.

A question, if you get caught trying to enter with someone elses ticket, presumably they confiscate your ticket there and then, so you cant just try another gate?

Is there any come back to the person whose ticket it really was? I suppose not because they can just register under another name the next year? Do Seetcikets blacklist people whose ticket is sold on at all? I not sure how they could do this in any event, by not allowing the same card again the next year, or not allowing the same address?

Couple of problems with that - what happens if the person selling the ticket on moves house - someone moves in and next year wants to order a ticket? You can't ban people from buying tickets because someone who lived that that house before it a wrong 'un.

Like the ultraviolet inscription on each ticket reminds the gate staff to do?

So when they scan them it just gives them an extra nudge to look more closely at peoples faces..

Have you guys been before! i have never known them do thorough checks yet! It's mainly to stop the touts and he succeeded with that! up until 10 years ago 70% of the festival hadn't paid to get in and he never did a thing about it. Do you think he never noticed 100000 too many on site! Course he did! only for them threatening his license did he have to clamp down! Otherwise it would still be the same he's had to move with the times or get shut Down and as long as the touts aren't ripping of the punters they aren't arsed about a few people swapping tickets!

Getting in the Glastonbury spirit early this year, I see.

Glasto94 if you are tall you will be able to see the jobsworths who are checking the tickets more thoroughly than others way before you get to them and it's easy to shuffle over to another line.

We've got in at least 3 of the last 5 years with at least some of the group not having their own tickets. All bought at face value off of people that couldn't make it, fair exchange no robbery etc etc.

Unless it returns to the days of thousands of extra bodies getting in through broken fences I can't see how it is going to effect the licence, as it's impossible to accertain the amount of people on site accurately anyhow.

Rules is rules though... and I strongly urge you to

have a fuckin amazing time :hi:

Thats a bit harsh, the steward has no way of knowing if you've bought that ticket fair and square from a punter who cant go for face value blah, if youve paid 500 for it from a ripoff merchant or if you've nicked it at a service station. Theres a difference between jobsworth and you know, doing the job you're there for.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
