Just saw this very small snippet on TOS, sounds promising:

Look out for a boost in Glastonbury's Latin zone in 2013! We've done so well that the festival is giving us our own area, in a new location. We'll still have the fantastic late night salsa bands, and daily dance classes with top teachers, but we'll be adding a bunch of new attractions in the daytime and evening. Watch this space!

Another 'moving to a new area'. Thats all ive heard up to now - sounds like the site will be having a major over haul. Im half expecting them to announce the pyramid is up by stone circle now

(Sarcastic comment for anyone thinking im being serious about the pyramid moving)

I'm curious to know what will go in their old spot as they had a good position that I seemed to pass on a regular basis, but that could have something to do with the fact that I got chatting to one of their salsa dance teachers whilst watching The Gaslight Anthem on the Pyramid.....

They were only in their 2011 spot for one year. Prior to that they were in the old location of The Common, which itself moved into a new area in 2011.

I'm sure it'll be easy to work out once you're on the site.

At any rate, I spent a lot of time in it in 2010 but barely crossed the threshold in 2011. Not sure why. Think I'm due a return in 2013.

ooo good call - went to Cubana during the last Glastonbury and the same year in November went to Cuba - so to go back and sink a Havana rum or 3 would be lush !

snap - mid November to first week of December - 3 weeks of Cuba fun for us. Love love loved Trinidad - 4 of us stayed with a family in their home, and they cooked the most amazing seafood and we sat at their kitchen table being spoiled rotten :-) then made our way to Casa de la Musica and another couple of 'clubs' for far too much rum and dancing ! See you in Cubana :-)

Oh man - the Casa de la Trova in Trinidad was brilliant. Superseded only by the one in Baracoa, which is was really kicking off when we were there. Happy memories.

November 2011 for me too, funnily enough.

I must admit, everywhere we went in Trinidad seemed pretty touristy - and that also applies to the old town in Havana. It was only once we got to Santiago, Bayamo and Santa Clara that we managed to find tourist-free places. Particularly in Santa Clara as it's a university town - had a great night in a club called El Mejunje, I think the place was called, located in a courtyard.

Though we went to an amazing rumba festival on our last day in Havana, away out in the suburbs, to celebrate the feast day of Chango, the Santeria god of thunder. I was initially a little worried as we were the only pale-faced non Afro-cubans in the place and it was pretty wild with quite a few gangsta-looking blokes strutting around showing off their bling, but it was incredible.
