That's a fuck of a lot of money for what they're offering.

Gigs and football going down the same route, I'm afraid. Ridiculous prices and no atmosphere. Roll on the AFC Wimbledon and FCUM of the music world.

to me there is something fishy about paying on your own credit card and then saying it was for research. If I was even to CONSIDER buying child porn and I was caught, I would be behind bars before I knew it even if it was for 'research'.

As much as I love The Who and respect their place in rock history, I choose not to support them monetarily due to this, sorry if I am offending with my opinions I justt refuse to give chances in these cases...... put it down to personal issues!

I was hoping that someone had some solid evidence they were not playing would be a piss poor substitute for the stones , fingers crossed I really really can't stand the who , another band I would just say oh well il go another stage and those who like them enjoy it but I can't stand the who that much it would just annoy me to them even being allowed through the gates .... again !

well, it is but I firmly belive it's a concert performance devoid of any excitement, spontaneity or anything resembling them at their peak.

I like The Who a lot, but there's no way I'd go to see them now. I kind of accept that I'll never go and see them, which is, you know, a bit of shame, but I'd rather not see them than see the pale imitation they've become.

The prices might be average, doesn't make them right. Exactly like football tickets, you end up pricing a lot of people out of the game, and it gets taken away from people who made it what it is.

I know that you want absolutely different things from your musical experiences to me, tonyblair, and that's cool. There's room for both of us to think what we think. It seems to me that you put a much greater value on musical ability than me, I prefer a slightly ramshackle but unpredictable experience, I guess, less polished.

I don't share the view of The Who knockers. Loved their Glasto set - one of my highlights - and also saw a Daltry solo tour last year when he was excellent. Showed his age by coming on stage holding a mug of tea but joked about it and told some good tales before doing a cracking set.

Daltry was great on his tour last year. A proper Who fan. Played I Can See for Miles!

Townshend acoustic in a small venue is close to the top of my wishlist of gigs.

Or even Jack White and Pete Townshend together!

"Who's going to sing?"

"I'll do it"

I enjoyed The Who when I saw them at Harewood House a few years ago. It was a good gig but it just lacked that unpredictability that's been mentioned above. A good gig overall though but it did feel a little like watching a Who tribute act.

I'd go and see them again but not at the current prices.

The Who - brilliant, The Stones - fantastic, cant wait to be there and would love some confirmation soon of some bands playing at the festival, but I suppose we have to wait - oh the suspense :)
