They are great, easy and quick and very reliable.

Bit of advice - take a pic of each ticket/receipt you get either on phone or someone elses camera or both. Saves grief if you lose it. Its just a small bit of paper and can be easily done

I know there have been a million threads on this, but I'm still unsure of what to do. Is it safe to leave sleeping bags and clothes in your tent? I suppose there is a chance that anything and everything could be stolen, but how ridiculous does a person have to get? My sleeping bag was not cheap, and i'd hate to lose a brand new bag that i've slept in only once. At the same time it seems a bit over the top to empty out your entire tent every morning and haul it down to a lock up.

I'd say you'd be very unlucky to have your kipbag pinched. Most thieves would be after cash, small electricals, booze etc. It would be a massive hassle to pack up all your kit every morning and then go back for it at night.

I don't think people should panic about getting robbed. It is highly unlikely it will happen to you. But it is still better to be safe than sorry.

Don't know if I've just been incredibly lucky, and i've camped in nearly every field, but i've never been robbed and never seen disturbance in our tent or been disturbed whilst sleeping :-/ (you know what i mean).

I remember in 2000 (or whichever year there were a zillion more at glasto than should have been) someone tried to pickpocket my empty pocket whilst his mate asked for directions. But thats it. I knew what they were up to but just thought ha, shit out.

There must be particular hot spots for this kind of thing or they've missed me by chance. I must admit, done pennards and round that area but never camped near the dance tent.

You watch, ill get my tent emptied this year now i've put this.

Basically, if you'd be upset if ANY item you are bringing gets lost/stolen/broken, then simply dont bring it! Obvioulsy you'll need car keys, wallets etc, but I just pop these in a little rucksack and put it in the lock up for the weekend. Collect Sunday night/monday morning with everything intact :)

I'm not bringing much with me to my actual tent anyway, just the bare essentials, so I guess a few odds and ends should be okay by the sounds of it. Having backpacked around Europe the preceding 3 weeks before Glasto, i'll have a lot of other things that will have to locked up for the weekend anyway. I'm hoping that Worthy View will be a lot safer because only those who were willing to fork out so much money for the tent in the first place will be allowed in! lol

    • Hezbollah rejected it. Really Israel should get the f**k out, and US and others should support the Lebanese govt in defeating Hezbollah.
