Glasto toboggan run?

Reading the thread about Worthy View and the Hill of Death there, I was thinking Glasto could make better use of it ‘hilliness’ – Bestival has its toboggan run which is very popular although at £4 a go I didn’t use it, so could Glasto have its own toboggan run?!

You could have one at the top of the Stone Circle which goes all the way down the hill past West Holts, I reckon you would get all the way to the Kids Field area. Without stopping

Or one from the hill above the Park area going down the hill, past the front of the Other Stage and towards the Dance area and down to the John Peel stage. Would it get that far, depends on how much speed you pick up going down Pennards I suppose!

Or from the Wicket ground back down towards the Pyramid?

I reckon id is doable and would ease the long walk back from the Stone Circle of the Park area at the end of a night. Put a few small footbridges over it so punters can get past (or small tunnels for the toboggan run to go through) and happy days

What do you think? Charge a couple of quid and all profits go to good causes

The important difference being that the toboggan run at Bestival is a permanent feature of the site - it's not something that you would want to build for a 5 day festival...
oh I dunno .... there's a festival which is planning on building a ski-lift on its festival site this year.

It might not happen tho, as they hadn't got the quotes for it when they told me about it.

Haha, is this in the UK? The Bestival toboggan run is actually quite good fun- it's the best thing about that park when the fest isn't on :P
Was that a chat you had with a mr dabank?

yes, it's in the UK. And no, it's not Bestival.

(no more asking which fest please. I won't answer).
