Allegedly Melvin said he would book them as a headliner but that was around the time of them reforming so things could/probably have changed. There's no other fest they could play in the UK now Download's top spots are gone and Soni is dead and I can't see them doing a full tour.

TBH I'm not that excited by System if they were to be announced but I'd still want to see them. Reports of them live at Download was "mixed" as in people who saw them before said they were shit and they didn't seem to even like each other whilst fans who never got a chance to said they were great.

I've been saying for months that they would headline if they played, I can't see them playing and not headlining.

Now that there are dates out there they are much more likely to play than was previously suggested. I think it'd be a waste to give them 70 minutes on the main stage. I think they would need the full 90.

I saw them In 2011 at download and having not seen them live before thought they were fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and most people I talked to around the site thought they were the band of the weekend.

I saw system at festivals and gigs first time around but not on there return, would be intrigued to see them somewhere. I remember them playing reading one year or could of been leeds when they had to stop there set for the barrier to be reinforced.

Aaaahhhh those were the days.

Eminem, SOAD and Biffy headlining? Personally it's a terrible set although not sure how much mass appeal it will have to be honest. If it sells out then fair enough, they're good choices.

That trio would never sell out the festival, soad and eminem 10 years ago maybe but not now.

in my opinion biffy and soad would be weak headliners but could just about do it, although they would very strong sub bands.

If Sabbath aren't headlining a day (as that's the only band I could imagine them subbing too), perhaps Biffy & System could "co-headline." It's not a phrase I particularly like, but it does kill two birds with one stone & it worked pretty well with Pulp & the Strokes...

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
