Ah right, yeah think that's the plan. At other festivals like Shambala i've rarely if ever seen them kind of policies enforced. Sniffer dogs are good, usually used as more of a deterrent rather than actively catch people as far as I'm aware.

We'll find out who the secret headliners are on the day? Yeah it's cool not knowing who they are. Was just wandering who was rumoured; heard one of them was one of the Marleys somewhere but can't remember where and probably wasn't reliable anyway.

I've taken the plunge and decided to go to my first Boomtown. Going with one mate. We're Mid-thirties and early-forties, want to see plenty of reggae and ska as well as raving all-night, both to DnB and techno and to sillier stuff. Which district should we be planning on camping in?

Just found out that my 6 year old Son has won tickets to Boomtown!!

Never been before...Where exactly is it?

Just looked on their website and the directions link took me to another festival website!

Does the festival start on the Thur or Fri and when do you have to leave?

Thanks for any info!

I think its worth mentioning that this is a pretty messy festival - not the sort of place where some people would want to take their kids....

It's a great festival, but I wouldn't describe it as all that family friendly, however good the kids area itself is.

Your 6 year old has won tickets? wow! How? Thats brilliant!

Its held in Winchester, it starts on the Thursday and they let you leave when ever you like as long as its before Monday evening! :)

He won them in a Kids competition on their website...Design a Pirate Island!

His entry is shown on their Facebook page...He was 1st place!!
