Google Earth - glasto under construction 2011?

Its been a while since I checked out the glasto site on google earth but the latest image shows the site under early construction (from 2011 I guess).

You can see one side of the Pyramid cover on and the frame of the Glade tent, plus other bits and bobs dotted round the site.

Sorry if its been mentioned before but it quite nice to see it in a different light.

I don't remember seeing this on Google maps before - have Google done an update recently?

You could probably pin the date down fairly closely from the webcam footage or from the fact that the super fence is in the process of being constructed between Gate A and Gate B - all the parts are laid out on the ground and near Gate A you can see a couple of JCBs putting it up.

Its either 2009 or 2010 i reckon, the dragon stage us in the stone circle field, this wasnt there in 2011,

That google view came up at the start of this year - i love it, i go & have a look when i'm having glasto cravings. I think it's from 2010 build-up. There's no new recycling barn there which was built for 2011.

It would be quite interesting to overlay the glastonbury map onto Google Earth, show the differnet areas, stages etc...

I was just looking on google maps, not google earth, at something to do with Glastonbury and the fence is around the whole of the site!

how up to date is it?! surely it's a year old at least?!

the fence can't be up for 2013 already?!!

Looks to be before the 2010 festival, the fields look very dry. Fence goes up in May. Looking at the 2010 time lapse I'm thinking that picture was taken around 28th May 2010.
