Apparently Gazza once said that Kiss weren't big enough to headline, some people disgareed, now there's been a rumour they're headlining the second stage and Gazza's all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake, using it as proof that he was correct.

If it's true then it does mean he's correct, although some people are arguing because i) there's no 'proof' yet, ii) he's acting like a bt of a wally, iii) it's a fairly vague prediction and not exactly something that you can claim to be right over (if he'd said they would headline the second stage then that's something to boast about), and iv) people think it's a bit rich him getting on his high horse about it when for the 24,731 predicitons he gets wrong he brushes them off with "it was just a prediction, I wasn't saying it was going to happen".

I think KISS could still headline with two other decent headliners with them.

well, yeah, they could. But the promoter would be disappointed with them, because they wouldn't be responsible for shifting the number of tickets that would be expected of a headliner.

The very first thing a promoter thinks about any band is how many tickets they'll shift. While they're happy to have bands on the bill who aren't really responsible for shifting any tickets in their own right because they help flesh out the bill to make it more attractive overall, the promoter can't take that attitude towards a headliner. The headliners are the driving force for the whole event - if a promoter gets those wrong then it risks undermining the whole event, as Soni demonstrated this year.

Kiss have shown they can't sell UK festival tickets in the numbers that are required of a headliner for a big fest. I'll be hugely surprised if any promoter went or them again as headliner of an event the size of Soni or bigger.

Having to resort to slander, because you're arguement is very weak.

I'm not making any argument at all. I'm calling you the liar that you are.

FFS. If I said you had a brain the size of a pea I'd be being unfair to peas.

What part of there being no substance to the lies you are making don't you get???

It is not slanderous to call a liar a liar. If you don't want to be called a liar, stop lying.

Got that c**ty face???

Except I'm not a liar, I haven't lied once on here. It sounds to me that you are the one with a guilty conscience.

Calling someone thick or a c*nt isn't helping your case either.

Oh do fuck off you small minded moron with a massive aversion to the facts.

You said:-

You clearly said that Sonisphere wouldn't return unless they went with your idea of turning it in to an Indie fest. You said it was finished.

you said:-

You said you don't print articles or rumours without solid evidence, by printing the rumour from Metaltalks, you have pretty much said as such. You have said frequently in this thread that Kiss aren't big enough to headline and are a 2nd stage headliner at best, so pretty much backing up the article. Know you deny even saying that.

Both are only your fantasies, I've never said either thing. You LIED!!!!

Now, either prove me wrong, or prove yourself a liar.

Yet again going down the route of trying to insult someone, simply because you don't know how to argue with someone, it says more about you than it does me.

You're not getting it. i'm not insulting you, I'm making a statement of fact.

You are a c**t, because you are deliberately lying.

As to trying to prove you wrong, I don't need to, everyone already knows. Reiterating a word against someone multiple times doesn't make it true.

Oh dear. Oh dear. You really are determined to prove yourself the lying c**t.

You could easily quote my words which you say I've posted.

You don't quote them because they don't exist. Which makes you a liar and a c**t.

This is getting tiresome, calling me a c*nt and a liar multiple times in one post doesn't make it true, you may think this psychology works, but it really doesn't. You're just making yourself look foolish.

I'm not going to quote multiple messages, beause I don't have the time nor the patience to go through every single thread looking and you know this that's why you're challenging me to do so.

I'm a much more simple type than you're thinking. There's no insults, there's no psychology. There's just me, saying what I think, because I'm not scared of my own thoughts, and neither am I scared of your words or how mine might look.

What I do care about is you writing lies about me.

You know you're writing lies. That makes you a c**t.

Put up or shut up. Either prove my words or do the decent thing, or find that c**ts like you get treated back as a c**t, here at least.

    • https://x.com/amirtibon/status/2083054470871535853   Some thoughts on the Gaza agreement announced overnight, which despite my reservations and concerns, I hope will be implemented. 1. Donald Trump is trying to collect "wins" and "achievements" ahead of the midterm elections. His party is entering that election at a disadvantage, but because Democrats may choose weak and unpopular candidates in specific states, much like Republicans did in 2022, there's a reason for Trump to at least try achieving a surprising result like the one Biden secured four years ago.   2. The will to provide Trump such a "win" was an important motivation for all sides involved in this agreement: Hamas, Netanyahu, Qatar, Egypt, UAE and Turkey. All of them hope, each for their own reasons, that the transactional president will remember their role in the agreement and the positive media coverage it has generated and will continue to generate. You can like it or not, but that's the nature of diplomacy, especially in the Middle East, under Trump.   3. Netanyahu and his band of liars in the Israeli media (and the last few suckers in the American media still buying his spin) are already trying to oversell the agreement and present it in terms that contradict the Board of Peace statements and briefings. Of course, the October 7 Prime Minister can't just say the truth on this one, which goes something like: "I'm trying to stay on good terms with Trump ahead of an election here in Israel that will determine my personal fate and whether or not I go to jail in 2027."   4. For Hamas, the agreement is a way to buy time and survive, which is basically the organization's overarching goal since October 7. They lost most of their leadership and thousands of their fighters; they will also, I believe, give up some of their weapons to the new Gaza-based Palestinian government, which is a good thing. But at the bottom of all their decisions is a simple calculation: being able to say, "we committed the most deadly and humiliating attack against Israel since the start of the conflict, and survived as a movement and an organization to tell about it."   5. Hamas was able to say that yesterday, before the agreement was signed, and it can also say that today, after the conclusion of the negotiations. So in that regard, the agreement is preferable to the murky post-war reality that preceded it, in which Hamas was recruiting again thousands of young fighters, holding on to all its weapons, and controlling 99% of Gaza's population, making money off people buying fuel and cigarettes. Changing even a part of that terrible reality, by collecting some of the weapons and allowing progress on reconstruction under a non-Hamas government, is better. It means coming to terms with the fact that Israel under this government failed to dismantle Hamas and allowed its survival even before this agreement was signed.   6. Do I think the agreement will be fully implemented over the next 300 days, as I understand the timeline? I'm highly skeptical. But I'm also asking: what are the alternatives? Netanyahu, in his quest for political survival at all costs, ignored David Ben-Gurion's national security strategy of seeking short and decisive wars, which was based on Israel's unique internal and external challenges that make it dangerous for this country to have long wars of attrition. The result is an Israel that is hated, isolated and denounced around the world like never before, and is totally reliant on the support of one man (TRUMP) to avoid crushing international sanctions. Going to war in Gaza once again based on the same promise of "finishing Hamas," which this government failed to achieve after three long years, would have been suicidal unless Trump promised his full backing. And Trump, for good reasons, can't give such a commitment after his bitter experience with Netanyahu in Iran and Lebanon.   7. For me and my family, these are all very personal, not only political, questions. My six-year-old daughter will start school on the Gaza border in exactly one month, as we rebuild our life in the same home where Hamas tried to murder us on October 7. We've learned over the years to be highly skeptical of premature victory announcements and diplomatic celebrations. When these things collapse under the cynical realities of the conflict, most of those announcing them are not around to face the consequences. Still, I don't see a better alternative to the 20-Point Plan that Trump presented last year, at least not with Israel's current position of isolation and exhaustion under this government. So I have some hope that the agreement will succeed, even partially, and deliver a period of quiet. For us on the border, that would be significant after three years of war and trauma. And maybe in the long run, with different Israeli and Palestinian leadership, this will become a first step in a broader positive change for the region.
