Looking at Rock Am Ring we could have:

Airbourne - Second Stage Kiss Day (reckon they will go for a sort of Classic Rock Second Stage again)

Bad Religion - Headline Third Stage... would be nice on main or second.

Bring Me The Horizon - Headline Second or High Main Slipknot Day

Bullet For My Valentine - If Deftones don't play they could sub to Slipknot... doubt will headline Second again... or could just not play.

Five Finger Death Punch - Main to make up for last year

KoRn - could sub to Slipknot or possibly even play third down underneath Slipknot and either Deftones or Bullet.. Think KoRn then Deftones then Slipknot would go down great. Or they could play Soni or even finally play Reading on the Sabbath day but think that is very unlikely.

Paramore - Possible second stage headliner (on Sunday as people could watch 30stm then move over to Paramore if they don't like Rammstein)... Seem more likely for Soni if that goes ahead.

Royal Republic - could play any stage.. think will def play.

Simple Plan - don't really see them coming back but could do Second stage... doubt will headline it again... maybe second or third down.

Stone Sour - probably headline Second

Also from Nova Rock think we could have:

Within Temptation - due a return and doubt will try Soni again since it was cancelled when they were last due to play

Parkway Drive - Same stage as BMTH

Coal Chamber - do the Kyuss Lives! style slot.

edit: Oh and Kiss to headline Second

Too big for Download 2nd stage.

No idea if they're playing or not, but 2nd stage headliner is about right.

They're a band who failed as the billed headliner to sell tickets this year for a smaller festival. So there's no way on earth they'd now headline Download (unless they have an upsurge in the future).

So that means that they either no longer play in the UK at festivals, or they have to accept lower billing.

So the options are subbing the headliner on the main stage, or headlining the 2nd stage. If they headline a stage they can pretend to themselves that they're still headliners; if they sub they can't.

So what they gonna do?

    • Wasn't just me who thought it was either oversold or inadequately setup for the event then? For Pride, over the weekend, where there's also acts in the large blue marquee that was to the right of the "arena" (for want of a better term), it's probably much better as people are dispersed more. Thought the band were great, as was Nick, though he was clearly struggling with his voice at times.
    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
