Babycham

How to re-invent a drink. Babycham, a sparkling champagne perry was the first alcoholic drink to be advertised on TV in 1957 and was then sold as a 'girlie' drink by the then Showering Brothers of Shepton Mallett, .

Now the brand is owned by Accolade Wines (an Australian based conglomerate whose wine brands include Hardys).

But the Brothers are now back with their cider perrys sold to enthusiastic festival goers.

And yes Whisty, you did get it right. For those not aware of my association, it was a famous editorial written by William Rees Mogg, then Editor of The Times, deploring the heavy sentences passed on the Rolling Stones following a drugs bust,
