Just completed Crysis 2, what a game!

It's not as bad as the reviews make out, only played it split screen co-op with a mate so far, and while it's undoubtably not without it's faults, most of them can be solved with a patch, it's more the smoothness of the whole thing that needs tweaking, and fixes for a few glitchy moments, other than that, while its not the game i was hoping for, and the Xenos are nowhere near as intelligent as they should be, it's pretty much Left 4 Dead with Aliens, and I like Left 4 Dead... and Aliens.

I started being pretty stealthy, but have now moved on to LMGs, and RPGs. Its much more fun blowing shit up! I still carry a silenced sniper rifle at all times though.

I like taking out enemies with fire, either by trapping them in a burning hell or using it as a distraction then running round behind them and hitting them with surprise bumsecks.

I'm stuck with the hunting challenge to get the golden tiger with a bow and arrow. Putting it in among normal tigers is just plain cruel, you are lucky to take down 1 tiger with the ammo you are supplied, and so far for me that's never been the golden one. I also suck at using the bow and arrow, not least against tigers which take 2-4 arrows to kill when you only have 5 ammo.

This is the prototype that has been given out to developers. It will be interesting to see what the real thing looks like. 5 days and we will find out.

Why does it have a speaker in the middle? :S Is this the feature that made the wii so popular?

Looks odd, maybe a bit chunkier than normal PS controllers....which is good (I love the orginal xboxes tbh so there we go ..maybe slight preference for the 360. )

I actually quite liked the little speaker on the wiimotes.

Nothing groundbreaking but did give a nice bit of feedback. What would be interesting is if it was a microphone/speaker combined. Would make for easier use of verbal commands if the microphone was on your controller.

Word is Killzone 4, Little Big Planet 3 and a new Motorstorm will be shown running on the PS4 on Weds night. Hardly inspiring choices, but what the hey.

Hmmm, I haven't been playing with fire much. In fact I think I've only used one Molotov in the whole game so far. I did manage to set most of a village on fire though which was pretty cool.

Yes that golden tiger challenge is a right bastard. Just load up on all of the hunting stims (stock up on lots of yellow and red plants before hand). The animal repellent one is handy as the tigers won't attack you and you can chase after it. Also, you can use any weapon you want to take down the normal tigers. You only have to use the bow on the golden one. Try crafting a bigger quiver, and there should be plenty of ammo where you pick the bow up from.

The one where you have to take down a pack of dogs using an RPG is a bit of bugger as well. I kept blowing myself up!

I managed to kill the tiger in the end, I'm enjoying the hunting aspect of the game, interesting to have a FPS where killing bad guys is only one part of the game.

Fire is excellent fun, it spreads realistically and can be used as a great distraction or just plain destruction. I'd recommend having a mess with the molotovs (or fire arrows).

I've had some interesting run ins with the various wildlife in the game. Like trying to sneak into a base by swimming up the river and taking out the guard on the pier... only to be attacked by an alligator. Or the random tiger that took out the last few guards in a base I was sniping from some distance away.

And damn those fecking Komodo Dragons. c**ts, the lot of them.

The open beta of the MP has been available a little while, it's best described as being halfway between UT3 and COD for the gameplay. I'd recommend trying the beta before making any purchase.

I've been reading about what's predicted and it seems the PS4(PS Orbis) has a bit more power than the new Xbox...but then they said that about the PS3!

They are pretty much identical in most ways although the ps4 does trump the xbox in one dept iirc. Im sceptical that this next gen is gonna be that massive with a lot of features that will turn off your hardcore gamer. Moar graphix isnt a big enough draw imho.

Pretty hyped, ready for new consoles now. Hoping Sony bring Socom back and don't make it awful like Socom 4! Doubt they'll mention Socom at tonights presser though anyway, I predict Uncarted 4, a new Quantic Dream game, a Sony Santa monica new IP, new racing game from evolution and Killzone 4. Plus some third party stuff.

Hard to judge how much theyll leave for E3 and how much of this is going to be them talking about how 'successful' the ps3 was and their 'vision' blah blah blah.

I disagree because the 'hardcore gamer' now continually makes the next COD the biggest selling game ever with feck all jump up.
