I have the beginnings of a plan for that tent. It might even be a cunning plan. :D

What do you reckon to the chances of getting 72 people to chip-in to buy one?

It would be £27 each at full price, tho I reckon it's possible I might be able to negotiate a significant discount.

It's a cunning plan that the makers of the tent like - a lot. :D

Now all I need to find out is how their big liking translates into a discount for the tent.

if the makers say it has room for 70 people, don't you have to almost halve that to be realistic?

yeah, quite possibly.

But lets see what I might be able to do with the price before worrying too much about the details that come off the back of that price. If I could manage to wangle it for free (not impossible, hopefully) then numbers of people doesn't matter aside from the numbers who can be inside at one time - when it's full it's full.

pretty simple really. The tent gets modified so it can be erected but then picked up and carried ... so that it goes around the site as a train, with people getting on and off. The people who get on help carry it until they get off.

I am in, where do I send my £27 cheque to?

I am sure someone had one of these last year, it got trashed by the T in the Park crowd, then thrown against the wall of one of the buildings in Block9 and got stuck. I think its been there ever since

Will it run up and down the railway line between Steanbow and Shangri-La?

it could. It could also run scheduled services between any two points on the site. It could run a night-train from babylon up to shangri-la.

And it should of course get priority entry into Block 9. :P
