IOW had Bruce, Tom Petty and PJ just gone. I'm pretty sure the crowd that goes to IOW is suited enough to Bon Jovi. Plus this is a band that never does festivals hardly ever. I can't remember except for the old MOR years and years ago, correct me if I'm wrong when they did a fest headline slot?

Kudos to IOW for mixing it up, but that is one fucked up booking. If I usually went to IOW I'd boycott on the general principle that my money was going to supporting the continuation of music and musicians of the most offensive kind.

If it's right, many of us called it ages ago. And although IOW aren't really an exclusive band fest, they'd do alrite to make ex exception here. Know one that side of the water has had the direct chance to see them yet.

london to glasgow to iow or london to iow to glasgow, it's not a chose whichever way.

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.

    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
    • The Smashing Pumpkins are also a shout
