TITp Leakage

Seems theres a leakage of mainly pointless Tea in the Park threadage on here which is diluting the 'Other Festivals' forum which is mainly about nice smaller real festivals..

Any chance we could adopt a 'lump em all together into one thread' policy?

Those festivals you mention are much smaller than T in the Park, to put things into context, before T in the Park was taken of this site it was the second most posted on festival on eFestivals, just behind glastonbury. Now try and think about putting every glastonbury post in one thread, very quickly it would get messy.

Yeah, but the TITP forum WAS taken off efestivals, having not ever contemplated going I never read the forums and therefore can't comment on reasons for this...but the fact remains it was!!

If numerous threads get started here in 'other festival' then quite often they get merged. I think this should be the case for TITP threads. Especially as Gingo's honesty above kinda points out that alot of them are pointless..

Very unfair on small festival threads if they get swamped by a load of pointless TITP festival threads..

That said, its over now so I'm sure you will all dissapear quite soon..

Gparsfan hit the nail on the head with his post, and I suggest you read it.

He didn't. Flip has correctly said where it's at.

I haven't removed the T forum to have the same people drag another forum down by doing many of the same things, mostly centred around not giving a fuck about what is fair, right, and reasonable to others who also use the forum. ;)

Neil, I have a real sense of deja-vu here, didnt you ban the TITP forums last year, or did I dream that ?

I sort of remember people starting their own TITP forums, which was basically all the people you had banned from here just slagging you off and not much talk of TITP

I agree with flip though, it would be better to merge all the TITP threads, I like to read about the little festivals, they are usually full of nice helpful people :)

actually the more I think about it, I think it was more that Neil banned some users from TITP forum (disco badger ?, seems to ring a bell), and they started their own forum.....I could be wrong though, Im often am :)
