Ok so take The Cure for example, their songs range from simplistic pop songs to more complex, dark epics, so to say you're a Cure fan, does this mean you have to pick one style over the other? Or can both styles be to your taste because you like the band as a whole? It just happens that simplistic songs may be more to some peoples tastes, and if they prefer certain things in their music that others don't, and it makes them happy, then that's their prerogative. There are a lot of bands that i either don't like, or that i don't get, but i just prefer to take the stance of 'each to their own'

Haha I'm certainly not too delicate to cope with a little criticism (the truth is I'd just got home from a shitter of a night shift and your original comment stuck in my craw a little). I just find it a little sad that people feel the need to slag off other people based on their musical tastes. Wouldn't life be boring if we all just liked the same things. But if you enjoy slagging off MCR, then slag away, just as I'll carry on enjoying their music.

I've picked My Chemical romance over the cure as I don't really know much of their stuff. I intend to listen to their material before August so that may well change, and from all account of people I know who went to bestival last year they're good live.

Also I picked the vaccines over the national as I watched them alster and found them especially dull and their crowd seemed really small in comparission to Jimmy Eat World.
