Taste is subjective, and while i may be surprised at some peoples choices, i don't have the right to tell them they're wrong.

You have every right to tell people they're wrong. Free speech and all that. Disagreement is fun.

I'm still not convinced taste is subjective anyway. I think you can accurately categorise bands and qualities beyond "some people like them, some don't", and accurately define certain styles of music as stylistically superior/more imaginative. Be a hell of a pain to do just for the sake of insulting people on web forums though.
