That is hell of a line up, the only thing I don't see plausible is Prodigy subbing Slipknot but i'm sure theres someone else capable of doing so.

This could sound ignorant but would a lot of the reading crowd know songs such as surfacing? I would have thought that the only songs that'd get a large reaction would be Duality, Before I Forget, Psychosocial, Wait And Bleed and maybe Snuff

Slipknot followed by the Prodigy would be brilliant at R&L... Having seen Slipknot headline Download I can vouch for what a great live band they are, I wasn't necessarily a fan before, I only went to see them because the sound was so bad over at the second stage, but they certainly know how to put on a performance.

Yeh Slipknot will probably be at Download again, which I'll probably miss unless the other 2 headliners are very diverse.

Download - Van Halen - Slipknot - QOTSA

Sonisphere - Iron Maiden - Pearl Jam - System Of A Down

Reading - The Prodigy - Bloc Party - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Glastonbury - Neil Young - Radiohead - Lady Gaga

V Festival - Arcade Fire - Coldplay

TITP - Biffy Clyro - The Prodigy - Coldplay

IOW - The Killers - Gorillaz - Guns & Roses

A vague prediction

My predictions at this point would be something like:

Download- Kiss, Tool, Iron Maiden

R&L- Bloc Party, Killers, RHCP

Glasto- Radiohead, Lady Gaga, Fleetwood Mac (possibly Beach Boys instead)

V Fest- Coldplay, Beyonce

TITP- Biffy Clyro, Prodigy, Jay-Z & Kanye-West

IOW- Arctic Monkeys, Eagles, Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Bestival- Arcade Fire, Portishead, Morrissey

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
