I don't think the article's bullshit at all. People who take these types of things are imbeciles, the fact that there's absolutely no research into these chemicals means that you don't know if there will be any dangerous side effects. I remember reading several reports of peoples limbs turning blue when taking M-Cat, until there's research into it which can tell you if what you are taking is safe to take, (I know no drug is safe to take) then your risking a lot just for the sake of getting "mashed".

Exactly, after years of research and testing and to quote David Nutt the former drug adviser to the government "taking ecstasy is no more dangerous than horse riding". The same things can't be said about these new "research chemicals", because nobody knows anything about them, they could easily be more dangerous than taking Heroin.

David Nutt also said cannabis, ecstasy and LSD are less dangerous than alcohol and was sacked for making these comments, but that's a completely different subject.

At least the new "research chemicals" coming into the UK are getting tested by the guys on the BlueLight forums etc.

I would class some of the drugs such as "bath salts" as incredibly more dangerous than the chemically tested & talked about "research chemicals". However with the later, its worth trawling through the forums to find a decent & reliable vendor that others are using (you aren't allowed to post vendor websites on BlueLight but you can "accidently" come across some eg xxxxxxxxxx is well known to be legit).

This stuff just sounds dangerous though!

Maybe using the word advocating was a bit strong but by posting the address to a website that sells these chemicals whether you meant to or not you are promoting it.

Firstly they're not bath salts, they're marketed as bath salts because they can't market them as this new legal drug that blows your head off. They have absolutely no relevance to bath salts, exactly the same way as M-Cat had absolutely no relevance to plant food. Secondly they're both the same thing, the website that you posted which sells these more "legit research chemicals" as you put it, are actually selling this "roflcoptr" stuff. It's just sold under the actual chemical formula rather than using the word "roflcoptr".

  • 4 weeks later...

The drugs being sold as "bath salts" or "plant food" are research chemicals, it's illegal to sell a chemical and advertise it for human consumption so they sell them under different titles. Just had a quick look at that bluelight site, I don't know a lot about testing drugs but it seems to me that they're just user reports, (people telling each other what the effects are from personal experiences). Which is a good thing because if you are going to take these modified chemicals, (and that's all they are, modified slightly from the original chemical structure of the drug that they're trying to mirror), then you have the information on what the effects are and what the side effects could be. Although that site is just a handful of people trying to give each other information, the amount of people that take these things every week without having any type of knowledge about it is quite scary really.

I can't believe you are advocating and promoting these things to be honest.

I don't wish death on anyone but that in my opinion, if he's took it knowingly that it was "roflcoptr" and not Ketamine it's his own fault.
