Franz Ferdinand?

I only bought their self-titled and You Could Have It So Much Better, both were reasonably decent experiences, although nothing special. Never seen them live but I'm told they're alright if you aren't expecting great things. Wouldn't mind seeing them if there's nothing else on.

Exactly, up against someone huge they could headline nme if they played.

Franz same time at Foo's and TDCC same time at Jay -Z. But I have doubts over them playing at all. Judging by what some have said, they're last tours weren't great. R&L can pull of a LOT better that than these guys. They only got sub at T last time on the smaller day and they are a scottish band so if they weren't giving them headline/sub on a bigger day, R&L won't.

They're Northern Irish. And considering the NME influence on R&L, I'd wait and see how the NME tour goes down first before making a judgement on them. Of course it'll get rave reviews in the actual magazine, but if public opinion is good, it's hard to look past them.

Read this from my post. How much clearer do you want it and I get called by you and others for making mistakes.

Subbing to KOL.

There isn't a sceince to fest slots, one postion isn't the same as the other. You could make the arguement TITP subs are bigger than R&L. or TITP bump up bands that are Scots or Latiude headliners are the same size as R&L subs but it all means very little.

From all accounts they put on a great show in 2006 and silenced the doubters who complained that they headlined, despite being one of the biggest bands in the country at the time (short lived but true). I wouldn't know as I saw Primal Scream storm the NME tent. They were also supposed to be great at Glastonbury in 2009 but again, missed them, this time for Springsteen.

Wouldn't mind having them sub, their first album was good and you can hardly accuse them of being Indie landfill as they try to be original. I don't see why people think it would be a weak booking, they're a fairly well established band with previous headlining experience.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
