Probably have a year off, but with a decent second album (either well-received or FR predicting it to be well-received) then yeah definitely in 2013.

Although all four bands are now SR here and in the last few years at the very least the headliner always plays.

I'd have thought perhaps a higher slot on NME stage than 2010, have many bands done two years back to back on the main stage?

I'd guess they'd play the tent, they played an afternoon slot on the main this year and even if it's a slot higher it'd be a waste to be playing vitually the same place two years in a row (yeah yeah Bloc party).

To me it just seems that they're spent at R&L without a new album, they had a pretty successful tent spot in 2010, got put on the main stage last year amid Melvin Benn going on about them, and being pushed up to headline the tent with what would probably be a pretty similar set just seems like a bit of a stretch.

Thing is they may have new material out by then as they talked earlier this year about plans for a 2nd album. They did to be fair do a very good set IMO at Leeds this year, they were awesome at Glasto but I thought Leeds was better.

Surely they would have - three years of the same material is indeed a stretch - and personally i thought their set in NME/R1 was better than the outdoor one a year later.

TDCC will either headline or sub NME, not too sure if Metronomy will play, they've played at least the last 3 years and last year Magnetic Man played NME awards but didn't play R&L last year

I would say Two Door Cinema Club could headline the NME. They'll no doubt have some new material ready and I'm sure they'd pull a good crowd.

Reckon they'd sub NME with someone like Maximo Park headlining/ 5th Main. Two Door said after their set in 2011 that they'd hope to play at Reading next year, so hopefully now they're headlining the NME tour their spot at Reading will happen.

Based on musical genre, yes. Based on the fact that both would appeal to a younger audience, no.

At leeds they finished and said seeyou next year, or something along those lines. I remember it being a hint of some sort anyway.
