Surely Pulp have gotta be there. Some obvious potential headliners - RHCP, Foos, Killers, Coldplay... Pearl Jam, Blink 182, Bloc Party maybe? Also maybe KoL, seeing as though they kind of "owe" the festival a headline slot from 09. Outside chance, but Blur? Seem to remember reading that they might play abroad this year or something similar... Would love a nice surprise like that. Dreaming a bit, but Daft Punk too...would be incredible!

Kasabian and Killers i personally think, maybe Bloc Party as their rumoured to be back together? but i think theres usually one dance sort of music headliner so maybe Swedish house Mafia instead of Kasabian?

Florence, Swedish House Mafia, Killers, Stone Roses, i would love that line up but be unlikely i think :P

Florence, stone roses, blur, daft punk would be insane

I've been hoping the same for Pulp ever since they announced Coachella. They were superb last year at festivals, and it would seem natural for them to be here?

Sadly, no return of Friendly Fires as confirmed to me by the drummer. Knew they wouldn't be, but worth asking.

Maybe M83?

Im all booked up, going with ###### so they've sorted an apartment and as its free transfers we're going via Barcelona.

Cant wait! Hope theres a few more surprises in the line up but to be honest the Roses are enough for me!

Taken from someone's post about PULP on the Optimus Alive 12 Thread:

"efestivals pretty much guarantees they will play at hyde park, in Portugal there's a rumour that a festival is in advanced talks with them (can't say if that's true), they're also a highly desired name for Benicassim, but no, there ins't any solid fact that can makes us sure they will tour."

Fingers crossed for Beni! :)

I have a strong feeling that Mr Noel Gallagher will be there; I was spot on with the Stone Roses so fingers crossed.

Hoping for Black Keys and Maccabee's, Foo Fighters. The Killers are a Strong Rumour as is Justice!!

Excited for tomorrow's announcement!!

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
