I assume Neil was talking football league, chester were conference. The only football league sides I remember going out of business are aldershot and maidstone. If darlo go out of business we go from 2 points off top with a game in hand, to 4 points off top with a game in hand, so both my heart and head are hoping the survive!

yep, I was talking footie league.

Aldershot were the last club to fold mid-season, and as far as I'm aware Maidstone were the last club to fold at the end of a season.

Some interesting results today. Blackburn getting a win to lift them out of the relegation zone, despite losing Yakubu early. That could be a big blow though, as he could well end up missing 3 games.

Liverpool fail to score at Anfield again. Bent? Defoe?

I think they're really missing Meireles. He was fantastic under Dalglish last season. Seems like too much fiddling too soon.

Spurs held straight after getting right into the mix. Uncomfortable with the pressure of expectation or just the sort of result that happens to top teams occassionally?

Dullest game I've seen.

Missed Lucas, Spearing, Agger, Bellamy and Suarez. Needed at least two of those. Formation didn't work with the players we have. Also looked tired after midweek. Oh and Dirk looks past it.

Bad bad day at the office.

Blackburn didn't even play that well, they showed heart and stuff but Fulham were just woeful. Worst performance I've seen from us since the Sanchez days, I honestly have no idea why but the players just couldn't get up for it. We could of gone 1-0 up though, had a few chances, and the game would of probably gone different then but it didn't happen for us.

Annoying as it looked at times like we could of slaughtered Blackburn but whenever we gained some momentum we just lost it again.

Really not sure on Jol... he keeps making insane decisions and his signings don't seem very good. Why he's letting Frei near the first team is beyond me.

While I'm glad we won, we were pretty awful today. Started dreadfully, got better when ben arfa came on, but still looked short ib attack. The sooner senegal get knocked our the better.

Guthrie awarded mom by sky was ridiculous as well. He have thr ball away with a misplaced simple pass so often. Not that cabaye had been doing better before ge got injured

They cant score goals. Best defence in the league (I think?) and they've a goal difference of +6. City +38, Utd +32. Even Arsenal, who have conceded a lot, are +7. Rumours they're in for Defoe, they need him.

For the record, Szcznesys "positioning" yesterday for two of the goals, the last two I think, was as bad as I've seen. No mans land, schoolboy stuff. He'd get a bollocking down at the after work 5-a-side astro for that kind of goalkeeping.

Actually, it's City atm, 16 conceded vs Liverpool's 18. But both of those are only just over half Arsenal's 31. Point's still valid. They're the team with the fewest goals scored outside the relegation zone.

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
