Brilliant glastonbury, cannot wait til 2013, gutted it isnt on next year though!

Only down point from the whole thing was the sound quality for the streets.

I had looked forward to them since the lineup came out, honestly the only act i actually cared about seeing.

The music quality was fine for miles kane and robyn (Although she had problems with her monitor) when the streets came on i could barely hear any lyrics for most songs except when it was low on bass/lots of melody

Is it usually this bad? Sounds perfect on BBC

Other than that brilliant week!

We went to watch DJ Shadow and he was absolutely amazing. The sound, however, was absolutely terrible. We were stood not very far back and were having a normal conversation without problem. Definitely needed more volume.

Peel tent is very close to the Pyramid and also pumps its sounds towards the Pyramid area. I'm guessing that has something do with it. We went in there to see Hurts and they were delayed coming on for half an hour, stewards told us it was something to do with band schedules on the Pyramid.

Sound is usually crap in JP.........I have experienced this for years........one year I even asked the sound engineer what the beef was.........Was told to basically Fcuk Off!.........This year Foster the People and Fight like Apes were the same sound issues........FLAs was the better as I could get right up the front.......

We were near the front for the streets (about 20m from lefthand side screen) and I could just about have a conversation at normal level with my mates stood next to me!

The volume in Arcadia for SL-2 was turned right down on Sunday night too!

Yeah I know two people who went to The Streets and both said the vox was really low, one of them left because of it. I also thought it was a bit off for Anna Calvi. The sound in there has never really been right since they increased the size of the tent a few years ago. Doesn't seem to be to do with bleed from the Pyramid which is nowhere near the problem that, for example The Other had with The Glade this year. And if it is an issue with sound bleed shifting the orientation a few degrees should sort that.

I was working on East Dance, and the levels each tent is told they can run at are very strict. For example, we weren't allowed to run above 96dB, which for anyone who knows about the dB scale is really quiet for a dance tent! It depends on the orientation of the tent, and they have to 'trade-off' various tents so some can be loud and some have to be quieter.
