I didn't express any of my own personal views, but appreciate your reaction as it was a comment designed to get a reaction.

Was just trying to give other examples, no matter how big or small, of other perceived injustices as far as where money goes. No offence was intended, and apologies if that's how it came across. Saturday (or any other night) is not alright for fighting.

Speaking of the rich and famous in general, I don't personally think that they do nearly enough good things with their cash, the good they could accomplish in the world with the wealth they have amassed and still be obscenely wealthy after doing it, it truly makes a pretty sad example out of humanity TBH.

On the issue of the protest, the idea that a few people getting their little flags out at Glasto is going to ruin the festival for anybody is as silly as the assertion that the morally debatable tax practises of the rich and famous in any way contributed to the demise of the world's(or any one country's) economy, which we all know was caused by a combination of financial industry moguls getting greedy and reckless and government toffs and their regulating agencies getting greedy and lazy. If U2 had given all of their money over, then it would've just given the bankers more to be greedy and reckless with and the government more to be greedy and lazy over.

How about if I was to hold up a blood stained flag with a dead woman's head on it saying "RAPE IS EVIL", would that be unacceptable because it might ruin the festival for those morons who think a woman deserves to be raped if she paints her nails and puts an attractive outfit on? Or would it be ok because most people agree with it?

Anybody who is lucky enough in life to build a wealth of millions of pounds(and that includes anybody in this thread) would hire an accountant and pay them a lot of money to invest it in such a way as to maximise its value, otherwise, you'd just end up giving a lot of it away without really seeing anything good(or otherwise) come out of it. Personally, I would prefer to pay to have a huge secret underground bunker built to store my cash, fake my own death and start up an international elite justice force run from a paradise island. That way instead of giving it to the governement so they can spend it on things I either don't agree with or couldn't care less about, I could make my own decisions.

The fact of the matter is, when the government needs to make a dollar, they're not going to go after the big city boys, sports stars or popstars, they're going to go after the poorest people in society, because frankly, they're easy game and they can't fight back. If U2 et al were to hand over all of their money tomorrow, that wouldn't change. If you want out, then get rich, it's as simple as that.

But I still think the rich and famous could do more with their cash that they do, I don't care how much they choose to give to the governments of the world, lets face it they're too busy telling their lemmings to blow each other up anyway. Just at least do something with it, don't just sit on it looking like a twat, fix the world, invent a device that can turn sand into chicken, or make water when you pray to the moon, f**king colonise mars or something, just do something useful with it.

That's the most amazing sentence I've ever heard. Please protest, but not if it's going to affect me. Totally. Why would anyone want to protest during the bit of the festival that's gonna get the most coverage?

Jeez. Let them fill their boots. It will only spoil peoples' nights if they let it. Bring it on! And then go somewhere else and forget all about it.... Or have I missed the point?

The amount of money that Britain gives to countries such as Pakistan and India to feed their population because they won't, even though they have space and nuclear programmes would be a much better thing to. Why not? Skin too dark for you to protest against? Easier to pick on the white man?

Wow! I'm sure I'm not alone in being very thankful to The Daily Mail for reminding me how evil charity is and for helping me to make a decision to never help Africans again. Don't get me wrong, there are some very valid points across the three bits of nazi-propaganda you have linked to, like the over-discussed lack of African artists at Live Aid (an event that took place 26 years ago and can't be altered or changed now. Oh. Wait a minute. Diana was there wasn't she (sob) and she was sooooo beautiful (sob) and she belonged to the people and that's why she loved Duran Duran (sob)) but forgive me if I don't let that horrible newspaper influence my decisions on how to spend or give money.

I can't even see how.they are going to be able to do this protest anyway. Taking a pile of inflatable money from a Irish banner to a dutch banner. In a field packed from front to back with people. So either they will have to try and squeeze past people watching the set whilst holding the thing or try and get the crowd to pass it. Either way, I can't see anyone being very cooperative

of course, if Bono had spent all his cash on smack none of this would be an issue.. we'd all be hailing his 'rock n roll' ( ) lifestyle..

if any of these twats seriously try and disrupt a show that thousands of people have been anticipating for about a year and a half now, then they shouldn't be too surprised at an unwelcome reception from parts of the crowd.
