Weirdest / grossest thing youve seen.....

I don't mind nudity (free country and that) and thankfully haven't come across any acts of public indecency but it's the turd mountains I've stumbled upon in the portaloos that trouble me. I've seen some that sit at least half a foot proud of the top the seat and have always wondered what sort of scumbag feels the need to hover above a full loo and add more to the top. There was one instance where someone had also puked on top of a heap. I'm guessing it was brought on by the sight of what the found when they opened the door!

Exhibition turds! Sorry to drag out yet another scatological anecdote, but at Reading in '08 we awoke on Friday morning to find that, just inches from our heads outside the tent someone had laid 2 enormous turds...and by enormous I mean 12 inches long at lease and with a girth that suggested the creator had been buggered as a baby, each identical in every way and laid perfectly parallel to each other. It was at this moment that I remembered that I was at Reading.

A weird conclusion to this story is that that the bloke camped next to me claimed to be Andrew Kerr (I didn't know who he was at the time and only now realise that if he really was this was a bit special) and had cleaned them both away when we returned to the tent around lunchtime. I'm going to do everything I can to see if I can get to meet mr Kerr at one of the signings this year so I can finally set my mind to rest as to whether it really was him or if there is someone out there mad enough to spend an entire weekend pretending to be someone not very famous.

In 99 or 2000 I cant remember which one.Me and my brother were walking along and one of the tractors was driving towards us pulling one of those tanks they use to clean the toilets. It was really busy so people where walking right behind it trying to get through the crowds. The valve on the back of it failed and started to fire sewage out the back of it like a sprinkler covering all the poor people behind it and all the tents that where pitched next to the track.Funny thing was because it was a hot year. Some people who where camped a little bit back from the track thought that the tractor was spraying water on purpose and ran down and started dancing in it.

Back in 2004 I walked past a man, who was obviously under some form of intoxication, offering a bottle of his pi$$ to punters walking past. He was proclaiming that it was healthy with - strawberries, oranges, apples and various other vegetables all freshly filtered!

He did find one person to take a swig of it who then turned round saying it tasted like pi$$. I laughed for a good while! Only at glastonbury!

Me and Nal met a geezer wandering around semi-naked covered from head to toe in blood at 6am round the back of the jax at Jazzworld. He scabbed a smoke off me.

We hope(d) it was his blood. Needless to say he was in bad shape.

Saw someone go in one of the portaloos, then all his mates turned it upside down ... He wasn't happy when he emerged ...!!

Also, saw someone standing on the top of the metal frame work of longdrops, one foot either side, no trousers or pants, having a "Superlongdrop" shit ... !!

Strangely this was the same year ...

in 99, I was randomly taking photo's, all excited at my first Glasto. Girl was pissing in the hedges and she opened her legs and shouted "want a picture of the golden flow?"

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
    • Taxi mafia running their usual scam.
